Do not pay a fortune for antivirus software
As a computer technician one thing I keep harping on the absolute need for antivirus and antispyware software on each computer. No exceptions. There are so many questions I settled on a daily basis, which could easily be prevented with these simple tools!
Nobody likes to pay insurance, and that is exactly what anti-virus software. This is to protect against something that "may or may not" happen. And if I said that the greatest> The antivirus software I use and recommend as a computer technician is free? Yep, free. And free does not mean cheap!
The best time to install anti-virus software is when you are on your computer. Before there is any chance of compromising your system. Here are the steps I recommend that you take as soon as possible on your own system to save time and headaches inevitable.
Step One: Update your computer whenever possible. Go to http://www.windowsupdate.com and updateeverything you can. This will patch viruses exploit the potential of "first use.
Step Two: Remove all "to go out" anti-virus program on your computer. And if your system is running slowly because of the pigs of system resources as Norton Antivirus or McAfee Antivirus go ahead and delete them also.

Step Four: Do a full scan to try to eliminate the virus "that may exist on your computer already. It is unusual for a newly installed version of Windows or a new computer, but if you follow this guide for several months, you're probably already infected.

Step Six: Restart your computer and be sure that you will do more to secure your computer that almost all home users and I meet with clients.
