Is the Kaspersky icon flashing a little * on its icon at the lower right of your screen?
I went into the Settings and told Kaspersky* to only Scan startup objects at a certain time (early in the morning, when I’m not using the computer).
Otherwise, whenever you start the computer, Kaspersky runs through the scan startup objects, slowing things down for many minutes until it completes.
* I’m using the small business version of Kaspersky, so it’s possible the home version settings are slightly different.
Yeah kaspersky is kind of bug . So either continue wid it or -
uninstall it .
You need a combination of softwares to help protect ur PC .
Here is the combination that I use
Avast antivirus > Malwarebytes > Super Antispyware > Comodo Firewall .
u can use AVG or Avira FREE in place of Avast , thats ur choice
As Far as avast is concerned , u need to register for free , give them ur email address and
they will send u a free licence key for avast (i.e. for 1 year ) and u are entitled to use
the software for 1 year !
U can get the above on following addresses –
Avast – http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…
AVG – http://www.free.avg.com/
Avira – http://www.free-av.com/
Malwarebytes – http://www.malwarebytes.org/
SuperAntispyware – http://www.superantispyware.com/download…
Any one of the following Firewalls -
Comodo Firewall – http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
Zone Alarm Free Firewallhttp://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/…
These apps work in combo to protect ur PC , and provide rock solid protection against
viruses ,and all are free !
Good Luck
You should get a higher RAM, or get a different anti-virus. There are a lot of antivirus that have a better detection rate than kaspersky. Avira Premium, ESET NOD32.
)
I read it from a study about different antivirus, can’t remember the site
2010 version seems to be somewhat of a resource hog. You could try the 2009 version which uses less resources.
