Why Can’t I Update The Best Buy Issued Kaspersky Anti-virus?

I’ve updated it once or twice since I’ve bought my laptop from Best buy. They gave me the Kaspersky anti-virus program. When i click the big button that says UPDATE, it goes to like 13% then it just stops and tells me to update

You probably just had a Trial-ware version of the AV. In this case you will have to pay (through the nose) to subscribe to it to be able to get further updates.
Another option, if it is in deed trial-ware, is to Un-Install it altogether and get a free AV like Avast:http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht…
Before you do anything, though, you need to talk to the folks at BB and see what they say about the situation and whether or not Un-Installing the Trial-ware and Installing another AV in its place could possibly void the warranty.
