Why Does My Computer Say That Kaspersky Is Turned Off?

on my computer windows security center says Kaspersky Antivirus is turned off but i open up Kaspersky and it says that my computer is protected…if it really is protecting my computer how can i get windows security center to notice that its turned on? and if not how can i fix this problem (i know reinstalling would be a good way but are there any other ways?)

I have also noticed this with vista for me,
EDIT: You could just turn security center notifications off, to do this:
1. Go to >START<, Control Panel
2. Select Security
3. Security Center
4. Now on the right hand side click on “Change the way Security Center alerts me”
5. click on “Don’t notify me and don’t display the icon”
6. those alerts will no longer bother you.
With kaspersky you don’t need to have windows alert you as Kaspersky itself will alert you if some components are disabled, just always look for the Kaspersky icon in the taskbar and as long as it is there it is active.
Reinstalling would proably be the best way.Kaspersky has a forum. Maybe someone has had the same problem.http://forum.kaspersky.com/
