Why I Cant Install Kaspersky Av, It Says That I Have Another Anti Virus Avg8, But I Have Already Deleted Avg?

   This problem appears to afflict a lot of new comers to Kaspersky recently, please try running the avg removal tool, which can be downloaded from here:http://www.grisoft.com/fr.36
   Also you may want to try deleting some of your registry keys left behind by avg.
   To access the registry, type regedit in the run command.
   (for vista type it in search then hit enter)
   Now navigate to and delete the following keys IF they exist:
   *remember only delete the last part of it, do not delete the main key, just the things marked avg*
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Uninstall AVG8Uninstall
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAVG
   or it may be instead
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAVG8
   if you see any other entrees(keys) with avg, or avg8 or similar in them in
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Uninstall your avg key name here
   or
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE your avg key name here
   DELETE THEM,
   Now restart your computer and start the installation of Kaspersky.

   To remove Avg you need to download of avg removal tool from http://www.grisoft.com/ww.faq.num-946#fa… Sometimes it’s not possible to remove from add/remove programs

   Go to Run ,type in “Regedit” once there,go to edit and select “find”, type in AVG then delete anything that has to do with Avg ,just that nothing more .

   did you uninstall AVG? or just delete a file/folder?
   Did you reboot your pc after uninstalling?
