In early 2006, Google announced a new product called "Google Pack". Google Pack is essentially a choice of over 10 packages of free software, anti-spyware software, free anti-virus. At the heart of Google Pack is an installer that simplifies the task of managing and maintaining all software updated.

To begin with, Google offered 2 good anti-virus and anti spyware. Antivirus software from Symantec Norton Anti-Virus2005 – not the latest version of the product, but a more than competent ant virus. The main limitation of this product was only 6 months of virus definitions have been provided at no charge after this that the user is required to upgrade.

Anti Spyware provided by Lavasoft. The product was called "Ad-Aware SE", which is already freely available for free download sites that CNet Download.com. The detection capability of spyware was good, but not the best.You must also remember to manually update the spyware definitions and initiate scans.

During the spring of 2007, Google has replaced the spyware and antivirus software free Google Pack. The antivirus software was also provided by Symantec, Norton Anti Virus 2005 has been replaced with a special edition of Norton Security Scan, which scans and removes threats such as viruses. The product is based on the award-winning Norton AntiVirus products. MainNorton Security Scan provides free updates and is not restricted to only 6 months.

Google has also replaced the software with anti spyware Spyware Doctor Starter Edition. Spyware Doctor always scores very high in most newspapers and testing usually fights with Webroot Spyware Sweeper for the first 1st or 2 .. While the Starter Edition lacks some of the characteristics of active spyware prevention of the full version still retain powerful scanning and detection. As with NortonSecurity Scan Definitions are free and automatic for life.

It starts and then shuts down immediately and I can’t use it. The computer will play a music cd but it won’t read the cd rom. Any suggestions.
