Both are top good products. It is tough to pick the best and In my point of view BitDefen AV requires more ram and lacks mail protection.But it is cheaper than Kaspersky.
Answer for ur 2nd questn:
if you are the person who browses internet frequently,plays online games,shops online,doing online business,downloads or uploads files then your AV alone is not enough for u. so go for Internet security!!!

my recommendations:
1. Kaspersky internet security 2010
=> kaspersky have powerful heuristic and kaspersky have actual database with complete protection. but, kaspersky is sensitive and difficult to use.
2. AVG 8.5 internet security
=> AVG is light and fast. but, avg doesn’t have good heuristic.
3. Avira antivir 9
=> Avira is good too. but, last week, sality on my computer destroyed
Avira “Antivirus guard”. luckily, AVG resident shield detected all sality.
4. Bitdefender total security 2009
=> slowdown my computer… but, bitdefender more lighter than norton (^_^)
5. Eset smart security 4
=> more lighter than KIS 2010 (kaspersky internet security)….

I removed AVG8 with control panel, and I used the avgremover on thier site, but still Kaspersky says “remove AVG8″, I tried so many ways, this has been a problem for 6 months

use google and search for free keys. Use yahoo and type this download.pcstars.com.cn, you will see some free keys download for av or suit I dunno how long they will last cuz it’s been awhile, but is free for one year from china. Is a legit site.
